From a little village in Ukraine
As a small child growing up in a little village in Ukraine, I spent countless hours climbing trees and, of course, falling from them. Those falls were my first introduction to the healing power of plants. I remember placing plantain leaves on my cuts and scrapes and watching them heal. My grandmother spent her days collecting these plants to make teas, balms, salves, and cleansers, using every part of the plant for a purpose. Observing her work and helping her create these remedies taught me early on that the forest provides us with everything we need.
Though I eventually moved away from those childhood roots, my passion was reignited years later. When my mother moved to Italy, she left me with her collection of essential oils and butters. Finding them felt like a wake-up call, like a passion that had been lingering in the back of my mind finally resurfaced. I began by creating basic butters, simply mixing a few ingredients together, but I quickly realized I wanted to be more thorough. I wanted to truly understand the science behind what I was making and the specific benefits of every ingredient.
The forest provides us with everything we need.
After several years of self-study, I enrolled in Formula Botanica to learn what it takes to create professional-grade formulations. I wanted to understand how percentages and ingredients interact on a molecular level. I have been studying and formulating for over five years now, a journey that involved carefully perfecting each product (and, admittedly, failing at quite a few others along the way).
Through years of trial and error, I am finally ready to share my creations. Whether the goal is to soothe dry skin or simply provide nourishment to the body’s largest organ, I believe your skin deserves the purity that only nature can provide. My mission is to offer you quality, natural ingredients without the “chemical clutter.”
From the forests of my childhood to the formulations I share with you today, ib2 skincare is about finding beauty in balance.
